Someone says there is only one museum in China, because China is one oriental country with vast land and special custom and culture. Someone says that there are 56 museums in China, because we have 56 ethnic groups, each one is big museum.

Nature & Science museum: exhibiting to display the ecological nature based on the classifying, developing and ecological ways, and show the scientific achievements from macro and micro based on the three-dimensional method, such as: Geological Museum of China in Beijing, Nature Museum of Beijing, Zigong Dinosaur Museum, Taiwan Insect Science Museum in Taipei, China Science & Technology Museum, Science Museum of Bailiandong Caves in Liuzhou, etc.

Among China's museums, the Palace Museum (also known as Forbidden City) is the biggest one. It was established in 1925, and was installed in the imperial palace of two consecutive dynasties - the Ming (1368-1644) and the Qing (1644-1911). The magnificent architectures, and the vast holding of the imperial collections of paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, and decorative objects make it one of the most prestigious museums in China and the world at large. In 1987, it was inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage site.
Almost China's provinces have owned provincial museums, and most capital cities have its owned municipal museums.

Some museums are the must-see attractions, such as Forbidden City, Ming Tombs, Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Shanghai Museum.
