Qinghai Lake, historically known as Kokonor (from the Mongolian name), is a salt lake situated in the province of Qinghai, about 100km west of the provincial capital of Xining.
The Kanas Lake is located in the northern Bu'erjin County of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and 150 kilometers to the county town.
Lake Namtso means "holy lake" in the Tibetan language. With over 30 kilometers from north to south and over 70 kilometers from east to west, Lake Namtso covers a total area of more than 1,900 square kilometers, being the second largest salt lake in China.
Heaven Lake Natural Landscape Reserve (Tianchi) is located at the foot of 544-meter-high Bogda Peak, the highest mountain in the eastern part of Tianshan Range.
The West Lake derives its name from the fact that it locates west of Hangzhou city. West Lake is famous for "Ten Scenes of the West Lake".
