The Hukou (Kettles' Mouth) Waterfall on the Yellow River is located in the Shanxi Shannxi section of the Yellow River valley, 165 kilometers from LInfen City and 45 kilometers west of Jixian County seat. It is one of the world's few yellow waterfalls and has a fall of about 30 meters; at its widest it is over 1,000 meters across, and has an average flow of 1,010 cubic meters per second. The rolling Yellow river suddenly narrows at this point and plummets down, with a thundering roar, yellow waves, and rising mist.
