
Ke Ke Xi Li is located in the middle part of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, covering an area of over 80,000 square kilometers. Kunming Mountain stands in the north and Tanggula Mountain is situated on the south side. Ke Ke Xi Li is the transliteration of Mongolia, called "A Qing Gong Jia" in Tibetan which means "the deserted area".
Ke Ke Xi Li region has a spectacular landscape. Numerous rivers and lakes are dotted here. More than 100 lakes in Ke Ke Xi Li have an area that is over one square kilometer. In addition, snow mountains, canyons, stone forests, salt lakes, and boiling springs have also formed part of the unique scenery there.
This large deserted area is the habitat to a habitat for a great variety of animals. Rare plateau animals such as Tibetan antelopes, wild yak, Asiatic wild ass, Tibetan gazelle, snow leopard, and brown bear live here. As well as some dogged alpine plants, such as medicinal-valued Rhodiola, Waldheimia glabra, Meconopsis horridula. And the fishing Artemia is the perfect feed for shrimp farming. No mention abundant mineral resources of Au, Cu, Ti and etc.
