Day 1/Arrive in Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. Transfer to your comfortable hotel on arrival. (D)
Day 2/Beijing
Visit Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven. Enjoy Peking Duck for Dinner. (B,L,D)
Day 3/Beijing
Today's highlight is the visit to the Great Wall, and Ming Tombs (Spirit Road, Changling Tomb). On the back way, stop at Olympic Park and outside view of Bird's Nest and Water Cube. (B,L,D)
Day 4/Beijing-Lhasa
Visit the enchanting Summer Palace, and the Yonghe Lama Temple. Transfer to Beijing West Railway Station, and take train to Lhasa. (B,L,D)
Day 5/on the train
On the train. (no meal)
Day 6/Arrrive in Lhasa
Arrive in Lhasa in late afternoon. Pick up from the railway station and transfer to the Hotel on arrival. Rest and acclimatize yourself to the local time and altitude. (No meal)
Day 7/Lhasa
The first day of sightseeing starts from Lhasa's cardinal landmark - Potala Palace, then, visit Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Market - Lhasa's most interesting pilgrimage circuit. The rest of day is free. (B,L,D)
Day 8/Lhasa
Sightsee of the Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and Norbulingka in Lhasa. (B,L,D)
Day 9/Lhasa
Today is at leisure. (B)
Day10/Lhasa-Gyantse
Drive from Lhasa to Gyantse (at 4,040 meters above sea level), and pass by Yamdroktso Lake for sightseeing. In Gyantse, visit Palkor Monastery, and Palkor Monasteery. (B,L,D)
Day11/Gyantse-Shigatse
Proceed to Shigatse and visit Tashihunpo Monastery, the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama to perform their political and religious tasks. (B,L,D)
Day12/Shigatse-Shegar
After breakfast, drive to Shegar. Pay a visit to Sakya Monastery, the principal monastery of the Sakyapa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. (B,L,D)
Day13/Shegar-Rongbuk Monastery
Drive to visit Rongbuk Monastery after breakfast. Rongbuk Monastery is the red building standing out from the colorless surroundings as a sore on a clear skin. (B,L,D)
Day14/Rongbuk Monastery-Tingri
Today's highlight is a visit to Mt. Everest Base Camp. Mt. Everest, also called Qomolangma, a part of the Himalaya range in High Asia, is the highest mountain on earth. Then, drive to Tingri and stay overnight here. (B,L,D)
Day15/Tingri-Zhangmu
After breakfast, drive to Zhangmu. Walk around Nyalam Town (situated at 3,750 metres (12,300ft) above sea level). (B,L,D)
Day16/Zhangmu-Kathmandu
Drive to the border of Nepal-Tibet. TOUR ENDS! (B)
