Enter into China via the south gate of China - Guangzhou. Then, travel deeply in southwest of Guangxi and southeast Guizhou, we will appreciate the enchanting Guilin Mountain & Water, visit the great Longsheng Rice Terrace and explore traditional ethnic minority villages inhabited by Miao and Dong groups, meet colorfully dressed ethnic minority people selling goods in the markets, making tofu or cultivating rice in their fields. If we are lucky, we might chance upon one of their vibrant festivals. Proceed northeast to Western Hunan Province to visit Fenghuang and Zhangjiajie, one of the filming sites of Avatar. Then, fly to Shanghai for homebound flight.

Arrive in Guangzhou (Canton) and transfer from airport to hotel. Visit the Old Town and Sha Mian Island. (No meal)

Visit the Memorial Hall of the Chen Family, Museum of Nanyue King Tomb, and Modern residential area of Zhujiang New City. Fly to Guilin, transfer to Hotel. (B,L)

Ascend the virgin Yuanjiajie Scenic Area overlook the wonder view by the super elevator. On the summit platform, you will see the Southern Sky Pillar - the unpredictable prototype of the Hallelujah Mountains in Avatar. Take sightseeing in Tianzishan Mountain, trekking down the mountain for 2.5 hours (based on good physical condition) or take cable car down Tianzishan Mountain. (B,L)

Lusheng Festival is one of the most important festivals for ethnic Miao Groups, especially popular in Zhouxi and Gulong villages near Kaili. This festival aims to sacrifice the ancestors and celebrate the harvest. The girls dress up in their intricate silver headdresses and beautiful costumes, while the boys carry their Lusheng (Lusheng is a reed instrument, which is made of bamboo and can measure up to 3 meters or as little as 1/3 meter.) and head to the Lusheng Stadium to celebrate the festival.
Sister's Meal Festival, also called Sister's Rice Festival, is the festival of ethnic Miao groups specific to southeast Guizhou. The Sister's Meal Festival takes in the spring, during the third lunar month in Shidong, Taijiang County, the girls gather to the mountains to collect wild flowers and berries to dye the glutinous rice known as Sister's Rice. Each girl prepares her rice with a symbol then wraps it in a handkerchief or put inside small baskets, and dress in finest embroidered costumes and shined silver headdresses and jewelry. The Miao believe that silver, representing light, dispels evil spirits. Silver is also a symbol of wealth and beauty, and some young women wear several kilograms of it at one time. The traditional goal of this festival is for the young girls to find their marriage partners.
