Day 1/Pingyao-Taiyuan-Datong
Take shuttle bus from Pingyao, via Taiyuan to Datong. Our staff will pick you up from Pingyao hotel and transfer to the shuttle bus station. Pingyao-Taiyuan shuttle bus will take about 1.5-2 hours, 110km. The local guide in Taiyuan will bring you to another shuttle bus station to take bus to Datong, which will take about 3 hours. Upon arrival in Datong, pick up from the station and transfer to the hotel. Datong is one of the 24 famous historical and cultural cities in China due to its ever prosperous history. Pick up from the railway station. (No Meal)

Day 2/Datong
Begin today's sightseeing from Huayan Temple, named after the Huayan sect of Buddhism, in which the statues, frescos and some of the buildings betray the typical artistic and architecture style of the Liao Dynasty. Then, visit the Nine Dragons Screen, one of the three antique royal Nine Dragons Screens. Move on to visit Yungang Grottoes, with their 252 caves and 51,000 statues, it represent the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art in China in the 5th and 6th centuries. Then, visit Shanhua Monastery contains more than thirty Buddhist statues sculptured during the Liao and Jin dynasties, the most noteworthy being covered in gold leaf. (B,L,D)

Day 3/Datong-Hohhot
In the morning, you will visit Hanging Temple (Xuankongsi), regarded as the first wonder of Mt. Hengshan, the temple was built 1,400 years ago during Northern Wei Dynasty. The temple was built on the cliff of the mountain with about 40 buildings in lines about 50 meter up from the ground. Take an afternoon train to Hohhot with hard seat (It takes 4 hours. Hohhot is not the end station of this train, the clients must pay attention to get off in time.). Stay overnight in Hohhot. (B,L)

Day 4/Hohhot-Xilamuren Grassland
After breakfast, Drive to Xilamuren Grassland, 100km north from Hohhot. Xilamuren, means "yellow river" in Mongolian. Visit the nomad family, watch a wrestling competition, enjoy the Mongolian performance at night, and try the local cuisine. Stay overnight in nomadic tent or yurt with private shower and toilette. Day 5/Xilamuren Garssland-Baotou-Resonant Sand Gorge
Drive to Baotou, visit the Mai Dai Zhao. In the afternoon, drive to the desert, Resonant Sand Gorge include round way cable car. By Resonant Sand Gorge, tourists there can try optional activity such as camel rides, parasailing, sliding the dunes or simply building sand castles. Stay overnight in the desert. (B,L,D)

Day 6/Resonant Sand Gorge-Hohhot
Drive back to Hohhot. View the sightseeing spot in Hohhot included General Office, Dazhao Temple, Old City. Dazhao Temple which completed in 1580 during Ming Dynasty, and was the oldest building and the largest temple in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. Locally, people usually refer to it as the Silver Buddha Temple because there is a rare silver statue of Sakyamuni that measures 2.5-meter-high (8.2-foot-high) here. Take overnight train to Beijing with soft sleeper (first class in China, 4 persons sharing one cabin). (B,L,D)
Day 7/Beijing
Arrive in Beijing in the morning, end of the service. (No Meal)
