Day 1/Arrive in Beijing                                                     
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. Transfer to your comfortable hotel on arrival. (D)

Day 2/Beijing                                                                    
Visit Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City. Stop at the National Center for the Performing Arts (no entry). In the afternoon, visit Temple of Heaven. Enjoy Peking Duck for dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 3/Beijing                                                                    
Today's highlight is the visit to the Great Wall, and Ming Tombs (the statue-lined Spirit Road, Changling Tomb). On the way back to the hotel, stop at the Olympic Park and outside view of Bird's Nest and Water Cube. (B,L,D)

Day 4/Beijing                                                                   
Visit the enchanting Summer Palace, and the Yonghe Lama Temple. Then, take a rickshaw through some old "Hutongs", walk along Nanluogu Lane. (B,L,D)

Day 5/Beijing-Xi'an                                                         
Take a morning flight to Xi'an. Climb the ancient City Wall, and visit Forest of Steles Museum, and the Great Mosque, the largest and best-preserved one of the early mosques of China. (B,L,D)

Day 6/Xi'an                                                                      
After breakfast, visit Shannxi History Museum. Then, take excursion to the extraordinary Terracotta Warriors and Horses, stop to visit a mountain village on the back way. Then, pay a visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Enjoy a characteristic Dumpling Dinner in local restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day 7/Xi'an-Lanzhou-Jiayuguan                                  
Take a morning flight to Lanzhou. Visit the Zhongshan Bridge, Waterwheel Park. Climb up the White Pagoda Hill. Take an overnight train to Jiayuguan with soft sleeper (the 1st class in China, 4 persons sharing one cabin). (B,L,D)

Day 8/Jiayuguan                                                           
Arrive in Jiayuguan in the morning. Pick up from the railway station on arrival. Visit Jiayuguan Pass, the Overhanging Great Wall, and the Tombs of Wei & Jin Dynasty. (B-L-D)

Day 9/Jiayuguan-Dunhuang                                          
After breakfast, drive to Dunhuang. Take sightseeing of Crescent Lake and Echoing-Sand Mountain. At the foot of the hill you may want to take an optional tour of slow camel ride (at your own expenses). Stay overnight in Dunhuang. (B,L,D)

Day10/Dunhuang-Turpan                                              
Today's highlight is to visit one of most famous archaeological discovery at the beginning of the 20th century--the Mogao Grottoes. Then, take an overnight train to Turpan with Soft Sleeper (first class in China, 4 persons sharing one cabin). (B,L,D)

Day11/Turpan                                                                 
Arrive in Turpan in the morning. Pick up from the railway station. Visit the Emin Minaret, the largest ancient Islamic tower in Xinjiang; the Astana Tombs; the Ancient City Sites of Gaochang, the Ancient City of Jiaohe. Then, pay a visit the Grape Valley, and enjoy numerous kinds of grapes and experience the grape culture. (B,L,D)

Day12/Turpan-Urumqi                                                    
Visit the Karez Irrigation System, the Thousand Buddha Caves, and Flame Mountain, the hottest place in China. Take a drive ride to Urumqi and stay overnight in Urumqi. (B,L,D)

Day13/Urumqi                                                                   
Today's highlight is sightseeing of Heavenly Lake (Tianchi Lake). Then, drive back to downtown and visit Xinjiang Regional Museum, and walk around Erdao Qiao Market. (B,L,D)

Day14/Urumqi-Shanghai                                                 
Take a morning flight to Shanghai. Pay a visit to Yuyuan Garden and Chenghuangmiao (known as Yuyuan Garden Market). Enjoy a fabulous Acrobatic Show in the evening. (B,L,D)

Day15/Shanghai                                                               
Visit Shanghai Museum, Xujiahui Cathedral (St. Ignatius Cathedral), Shanghai French Concession and Jade Buddha Temple. Some free time is for you to explore the city. (B,L,D)

Day16/Depart from Shanghai                                          
Transfer to the airport and board on your homebound flight. TOUR ENDS! (B)
