Mount Wutai ("Mt. Five Platforms" in Chinese) is located in the northeastern part of Wutai County of Shanxi Province covering an area of 2837 square kilometers.
At a height of 2,160 meters above sea level and about 120km east of Xi'an, Huashan, literally translated as Flower Mountain, is a sight for sore eyes. Due to its geographical location in relation to the others, it is famed as the most precipitous of the five.
Mount Tai (Taishan) is located just north of the city of Tai'an and to the south of the provincial capital Jinan. It is one of the birthplaces of the ancient Chinese civilization along the Yellow River.
Located in Dengfeng City, Henan Province, Mt Songshan is the central one of the Five Sacred Mountains in China. It consists of two groups of peak-the Taishi Mountain and the Shaoshi Mountain. The former is magnificent and vast, while the letter is steep and elegant.

Mount Putuo (Putuoshan) is only 297 meters above sea level and is located 5km east of Zhoushan island in Zhejiang province. It is one of China's four Buddhist Sacred Mountains, also an island offering a treasure of beautiful ancient temples, stunning scenery and golden windswept beaches for discovery.
Mount Wuyi, located in northern Fujian Province, with an area of 70 sq. km, the area has what is probably the largest, most typical and best-preserved humid subtropical native forest in the world. It was nominated as a biosphere reserve of UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere Program in 1987.
