The Old Town of Pingyao lies in Pingyao County in central Shanxi Province. It was constructed during the reign of King Xuan of the Western Zhou Dynasty and has been a county seat ever since the establishment of the prefecture-and-county system in ancient China.

Dali is situated in the southwest of Yunnan and at the intersection of the Yunnan-Burma Highway and Yunnan-Tibetan Highway. It a historically and culturally famous city of China, is renowned for her historical interest.
