Brief Introduction

Tarim Basin

This is the largest basin in China which located in southern part of Xinjiang, it is 800-1300m above sea-level incorporates the Taklimakan Desert, the Biggest desert in China.

 

Junggar Basin

 

It is the second largest basin in China which located in northern Xinjiang, with the elevation of 500-1000m, the basin has wind-eroded landscapes and small deserts.

Qaidam Basin

Located in northwestern Qinghai, this basin is the highest basin in China with an elevation of 2000-3000m, the southeastern part is dotted with salt lakes and marshes.

Sichuan Basin

Located in eastern Sichuan, this basin is a large plain which abound with hills and traversed by numerous rivers.
