Qingdao Brief
Qingdao is a beautiful seaside city on the southern coast of the Shandong Peninsula bordering on the Yellow Sea and the Jiaozhou Bay. The red color of the tiled roves, green color of the trees and blue of the sea, all this along with its beautiful climate, make Qingdao well-known as a summer and health resort. The uniqueness of the city consists in its architecture and an attractive urban landscape.

Mt. Laoshan: facing the Yellow Sea, it is one of China's major scenic resorts and has long held the reputation as the No.1 Famous Mountain on the sea. It is a famous Taoist mountain boasting both mountainous and coastal scenery. It has a coastline of 87.3 kilometers, with 13 bays and 18 islets nearby. Mt. Laoshan is known for its oddly shaped rocks, ancient trees, and crystal-clear springs.

Eight Passes: the Eight Passes (Badaguan) is famous for its garden and roads. Also known as, the World Architecture Museum, Badaguan due to the large numbers of European villas that crisscross this scenic area is sometimes referred to as "little Switzerland". Scattered among the costal flora and fauna, along with many varieties of trees, are more than 200 villas of exotic styles.

Tsingtao Beer Museum: with the whole wall built at frontage which is reconstructed for the European classical architecture style, its existence not only supplies a charming visual angle for the visitors who came from the different areas to close and understand Tsingtao beer, but also becomes the tour product which is to be praised for Qingdao.

Zhanqiao Bridge: built in 1891, Zhanqiao Bridge is the symbol of Qingdao. It is 440 meters long and 10 meters wide with giant granite supports. Lotus-shaped lamp provide illumination and decoration. At the southern end of the bridge stands a Chinese-styled octagonal pavilion named "Huilan Pavilion", where you can enjoy the scene of roaring waves and exotic rocks. To the north of the bridge lies the Zhanqiao Bridge Park, where the combination of colorful flowers, green pines and lawns presents a charming view.

No.1 Bathing Beach: it is situated at Huiquan Bay, 580 meters long and 40 meters wide, it is surrounded on three sides by green mountains. Modern facilities and traditional Chinese villas complement each other to conjure up a picturesque landscape. Also called Huiquan Bathing Beach, this beach is noted for its clear water, mild waves and soft sand. The beautiful scenery with its European ambience can compete with Hawaii, Bali or Samet Island in Thailand.

Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center: it is located on the old site of the Beihai shipyard by Qingdao's Fushan Bay in Shandong Province. It was constructed for the 2008 Summer Olympics, it hosted the Olympic and Paralympic Sailing competitions. It is cover a total area of 45 hectares, the whole project is comprised of the Land Area, and the Harbor and the Off-shore Section.

Qingdao is famous for its variety of commercial products, Laoshan Tea, Tsingtao Beer, seafood, shell crafts, straw crafts are typical Qingdao specialties and souvenirs. Here you will find several commercial streets and shopping malls that will offer you items to shop all at close distance or under one roof. The most popular shopping destination of Qingdao is the Zhognshan commercial street. The Korean city in Qingdao is one of the most visited places to purchase authentic items from Korea. The facilities and goods here are completely symbolic of the Korean culture.

Qingdao entertainment district is located in the downtown area of the east part and the Stone Old Man Tourism Holiday area. Although the nightlife in Qingdao is more subdued than in other major cities, there also have many bars here. Much the bust way to entertain yourself is in a long course meal of freshly caught fish, with a few cool Tsingtao Beer, followed by a stroll on the pier watching Taiji being practiced along the waterfront and the moon reflected in the sea.
